WHEELER Dealers host Mike Brewer has given a major update on his new World Tour TV series.

The long-awaited trailer for the beloved show’s spin-off programme dropped this evening, providing a sneak peek into the Mike’s international escapades with co-host Marc Priestley.

The presenter posted the tease clip on X, former Twitter, as the show prepares to hit screens on April 29 at 9pm.

“MONDAY 9PM @DiscoveryUK, we can’t wait it’s so bloody exciting! By the way it’s perfectly safe now to please go and follow the #WheelerDealer #facebook page and keep on top of all the news,” he wrote.

Wheeler Dealers’ globe trekking series will launch on Discovery+ following Warner Bros announcement that MotorTrend+ was being discontinued.

The show is set to take in locations across Europe, North America and even Down Under on the hunt for old motors to restore.

Fans will now be able to access the content on Discovery+ in the UK and HBO Max in the US instead.

Brewer has previously teased the upcoming series in a video shared on X, where he can be seen in the recording booth with Marc.

Wheeler Dealers World Tour is set to document the team’s global travels, hunting down some of the best and most interesting cars on the planet.

The tour will include a collaboration with popular motoring YouTuber Tavarish, known to Mike as Freddie, whose workshop they were filming in.

Mike teased that this would include a build of a McLaren P1 in collaboration with Freddie at his workshop in Miami.

NERVY WAIT

It comes after news that Wheeler Dealers is yet to be renewed for its 28th series, according to the show’s hosts.

The iconic duo revealed bosses at Warner Bros and Discovery Channel have not yet green lit further adventures.

However, in a promising update to fans the pair revealed discussions are taking place – and they’ve a book full of ideas on where next to take the beloved show.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Elvis said: “I think we both hope there’s going to be more specials and we’re already well into discussions about doing more of this world tour.”

He continued: “We’ve done 10 episodes but there are so many more places we no know this show is hugely popular in parts of the world we can do more.

“There are so many stories, we’ve already fleshed out nearly 20 more stories we can tell so we’re hoping we can do more of this because it’s been a wonderful and as Mike said at the beginning, I think it’s probably the best thing we’ve ever done, the best show we’ve ever made.”

“Not only is it the best show we’ve ever made, but we know we can make it even better, so how about that? That’s kind of exciting for us.

“We’ve come back with this amazing show that we can’t wait for the audience globally to see it.

“But although we’ve now made it and gone around the world doing it, we’ve gone ‘oh well we could have done that a bit better, we could’ve spent a bit more time on this’.”

He concluded: “We know we can improve it next time round.”

Who is Mike Brewer?

MIKE Brewer is an English car trader most notable for presenting Wheeler Dealers.

Born in Lambeth, London, on August 28, 1964, Brewer has become one of the most renowned faces in the British motoring scene.

Having emerged on television in the late 1990’s, Brewer has appeared in a number of motoring programmes.

Brewer’s television shows have included Driven on Channel 4, Deals on Wheels, Pulling Power, Wrecks to Riches and Auto Trader.

He has also appeared in a series called Revved Up, in which cars are modified, and presents coverage of the British Rally Championship on Sky Sports.

Brewer was hired as the presenter of Wheeler Dealers in 2003 and has featured in all 18 series since its launch, including two spin-offs series called Wheeler Dealers Trading Up.

January 2020 also saw the premier of another spin off series called Wheeler Dealers: Dream Car, where Brewer and former Formula 1 mechanic Marc “Elvis” Priestly help car owners trade up their unwanted vehicles to get them the car of their dreams.

For the first 14 years of Wheeler Dealers, Brewer co-hosted alongside mechanic Edd China.

After China stepped down in 2017, Brewer was joined by his replacement, Ant Anstead, on the show.

Outside of Wheeler Dealers, Brewer boasts has two eponymous “Mike Brewer Motors” outlets in the UK, located in Sheffield and Luton.
